I figured it might be worthwhile to keep track of how much we spend on TTC. I will probably be depressed knowing how much I spent, but I think it’s good to keep track.

So interesting to see, I have not kept track but the biggest cost (aside from the loss of productivity) have been sperm washes ($130 each), lab work ($20 each) and almost two years of prenatal vitamins ($70 each 3 months). I have not done any other types of treatments than those of the western variety but your list gave some ideas about what I might try, thanks!

I just noticed your comment on this page!
I don’t even know how many bottles of prenatal I’ve taken. Maybe 6 bottles? The costs are going to start racking up pretty soon. Although, I’m quite proud that I’ve only every bought one box of pregnancy tests. LOL

You’re right….it IS depressing keeping up with it all….but I, like you kept very detailed records of how much our infertility “cost” us: https://infertilitywhyme.wordpress.com/infertility-costs/.

That is some list. It makes me grateful to live in Scotland. Our NHS has its downsides like painfully long waiting lists, I have been at my clinic for 2 years now and I have only had one 4 month course of Clomid treatment and an HSG test. But there is no way on earth we could have paid out that kind of money. Fingers crossed for you!!

Thank you!! Some provinces are now talking about covering IVF, but not my province. We’re lucky that my private health insurance covered most of the drugs, but it’s still a good chunk of money we’re spending. Good luck to you as well!
