It’s been a long time since I last updated. First trimester was pretty uneventful. I didn’t have any morning sickness, but I did start getting pain in my groin around week 7. I also had heartburn, indigestion, difficulty getting comfortable enough to sleep. I also had no spotting since my LMP. No implantation bleeding or anything. But that all changed!! Continue reading

My TWW was uneventful. I recovered really well from my egg retrieval. I went back to exercising after a few days of rest, and took it easy for a bit. I didn’t worry about what was happening in my body. i didn’t think much about the embryo in my body at all. I didn’t even call myself pregnant. I guess that should’ve been a warning sign. I finally went in for my baseline appointment yesterday, and picked up my meds. I don’t have a lot of meds compared to a lot of other hauls I’ve looked at. I’m on the antagonist protocol, and am only using two medications to start, then adding in Orgalutran later on. Continue reading
Since there’s a lull between now and the start of my first ever IVF cycle (EEEEEEEEK), I thought I’d share something with you that I am currently obsessed with.
Isn’t it funny that we all know where this happy face is from? I’ve been tracking my BBT for almost two years now. I do it so I know when I can expect AF. I started using ovulation predictor kits when we were actively TTC. I used it for a couple months, and stopped because of the cost, and honestly, there was no point due to DH’s sperm count. DH and I finally met with the new clinic last week. It was a much better experience than our previous consultation. Our previous consult was less than half an hour, and we were immediately being pushed towards IVF without having done any blood tests. Last week’s consult was a breath of fresh air. We ended up being at the clinic for over 2 hours, and most of that was talking with the doctor and geneticist, and not just waiting around! Continue reading
