I was going through my Facebook Newsfeed, and this article from BuzzFeed kept popping up: 19 Facts About Ovulation That May Surprise You. I generally like BuzzFeed’s “listicles” but this one annoyed me. Maybe it’s because I know too much about ovulation, or because some of the things near the bottom of the list are absurd.
#5 annoyed me the most I think. “Ovulation occurs around 11th – 14th day of a woman’s menstrual cycle” – yeah right is all I have to say to that! I know, I know, most women probably do ovulate around that time, but it’s so frustrating to be generalized like that.
I personally have not experienced, or at least I don’t think I have experienced, anything listed from #9 onwards. I’ve read about pheromones and stuff, but I just don’t buy it. I don’t find myself dressing differently, or putting on more perfume. I definitely don’t put more effort into looking better, or walk more sexily.

I did this month but I normally ovulate cd 17-20

I’ve never ovulated on day 14. I’m usually 20-25 if I’m lucky. Otherwise, it’s even later.

Oh my word! If anything, the pictures/gif images made me laugh. I have noticed when I used to ovulate that I would get the EWCM and my sense of smell was extremely strong! Other than that…I guess I don’t pay much attention to anything else my body does because it usually never ovulates. lol. I will say that I had some strange cramping around the time I was ‘supposed’ to ovulate so who knows…

I do notice when I ovulate. I feel a small cramp for a brief second and that’s that. I always complain about weird smells, DH thinks I’m crazy cuz I always smell poo. So I can’t really speak to the heightened sense of smell.

oh so the cramping only lasts a second? Mine was kinda an all day thing and as if my ovaries felt sore when I walked…yikes

I must say that I do dress a bit sexier and walk a little different and that stuff, but I’m doing it purposefully to keep hubby interested in it after 3-4 days straight. I probably look like a fool and most of the time it doesn’t work anyways lol

Oh trustbme , we have a schedule but hubby can be downright stubborn sometimes. That’s when the little outfits and funny walk come into play
